The One

She walked into the room, and bam! it was electric!!!!
She set the place ablaze with her bubbly infectious personality.
She is the one you prayed for... A small voice whispered to me.
She? She is not what I imagined....
Sometimes the best things in life come in unlikely packages... Replied the voice with a tinge of humour.

The ones who have been labouring, heaved a sigh of relief. She is the manifestation of our prayers.... Thank you Lord for this wonderful gift, we are strengthened to continue.
Oh now she is a gift.... They say she's a gift and you say she's the one. We'll see about that.

I walk up to her, spured on by nothing but sheer curiosity... I stood towering over her putting on my detached expression.
Hi, she looks up and flashes me a smile that could disarm any skilled adversary.
No no no... I will not be moved by that.

They say you are here just for a while? My voice more harsh than I intended.
Oh yes, I am here for a while she replied with a smile unperturbed by the tone of my voice. Okay the keyboardist will audition you, if you make it through then welcome, if not its okay you tried.
You were too harsh and rude... Said the voice again this time laced with rebuke.

I start to walk away and suddenly I hear a sound that froze me right where I stood bearly able to move. My heart galloped like a stallion seduced by the vast and endless fields.
I told you!!!! The voice sang in excitement
Now I am too stunned to turn towards the sound. Oh boy you really blew it this time.... You dissed her and she has served hers cold. How do I face her?
Finally I slowly willed myself to turn and she is already surrounded by everyone in the crew male and female.

There She was, all transfigured, that's her!!!!
